How well your lymph is flowing has everything to do with your health. This is because the lymph system is an indispensable “sub-system” of both the circulatory system and the immune system. This means that it removes excess fluids and waste from your body as well as actively fighting infection… 24/7. Right now in your body as you sit and read these words. Can you feel it?
If and when lymph flow slows down due to injury, sickness, surgery, chemical exposure, or stress and difficult emotions, fluids can get dammed up in tense tissues. Toxins are meant to constantly flow out of your body, but the stress keeps them stuck in the body, unable to leave. You don’t need this shit. This sludge that was supposed to leave already can make you feel tired, heavy, and mentally confused. You may notice that you are more susceptible to colds, flus, and allergies. About me
For the past 18 years, I have worked as a lymphedema therapist, a lymph drainage therapist, a trainer for Flexitouch lymphatic pumps, and a lymph dance/movement instructor.
I am frequently amazed at how profoundly healing and effective lymph drainage is. It just clears so much junk out and that in itself is healing. It relieves the pain and swelling of inflammation so the body can regain homeostasis and health.
Lymph drainage is good for so many different symptoms. It’s good for your self and for your friends, family and pets as well! There are so many different ways to care for a lymph system. There is hands on lymph drainage, hot/cold therapy, "golden golf ball therapy" to treat the feet and hands which are mirrors of the the body. There is dry brushing, bouncing on a trampoline, submerging your body in water, and swinging. There is prancing, stretching your skin and tissues and then returning to some good ol’ hands on lymph drainage.
